Summer course

Our Spain program is in the beautiful city of Gijón, in the Asturias Region of northern Spain. The impetuous Bay of Biscay (or Cantabrian Sea as it is known locally), which embraces the city of Gijón, has marked its history for over 5,000 years. From the seaport to the Ruta Vía de la Plata, Gijón keeps its Roman past alive in the Campa de Torres Archaeological Site, one of the main fortified settlements of the north of Spain (before 490 B.C.), and especially in the restored baths complex at Campo Valdés, a public building which dates from the end of the 1st century A.D.

The progressive modernization of the city, along with its own excellent natural conditions, has turned Gijón into a city that attracts a growing number of visitors, drawn by good cultural and sports offerings, and a strong service sector. Now, at the beginning of a new century, Gijón is doing its utmost to preserve its remote historical past and to display this as an example of its touristic excellence.

Rassias program lasts for fifteen days: thirteen studying, making sports and visits to get to know Asturias, and two days at Madrid to know the capital of Spain.

In the morning you´ll take spanish classes so you can reinforce all you have learnt speaking spanish with your family and friends. There will always be tutorials for all who needs help or have any doubt about what he has learnt.

You´ll be really lucky to walk through the Cares route and you´ll sleep at a hostel at Europa peaks. You´ll also visit the capital of Asturias, Oviedo, and the Niemeyer center of Avilés.

If you like sports, you´ll be able to practise all kind of sports at the Covadonga Group Club. A lot of recognized sports men and women have come from its source and it´s one of the most famous and important clubs in Spain.

The price of the program includes absolutly everything except your personal expenses, maybe the price of the flight could change depending on the moment we make the reserve.
